actually, Leatherface wasn't a real person. he was, however, based on a real person whose name was Ed Gein. he did things like make necklaces out of lips, belts from nipples, and other articles of clothing made from skin and body parts.
as for the Hellraiser series, I've never seen any of the movies. although I have to say, Pinhead does seem like my type of villain. I really enjoy intelligence in my bad guys (such as with John Kramer and Hannibal Lecter), and what I've read on him makes me think that well... he's pretty badass.
and he's evil, so bonus points there. =) I'll definitely have to get around to seeing this film series, as it does seem like a good one.

That is definately a must chibi, there is 8 total and the only one of them that is hard to find (or took me forever to find) was the third one.

It is definitely Pinhead's insidious eloquence that makes each movie so intense.
"We will tear your soul...apart." "No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering." Oh, and when the main girl from the first movie asks, "Who are you?" Pinhead replies, "Demons to some. Angels to others."
Though most of the better quotes (and more unheard) are from the fourth where it goes in-depth on the box's story. One part has these two security guards (twins) and one yells after seeing Pinhead, "Don't make us bring you any pain!" Pinhead replies, "Pain? How dare you use that word. What you think of as pain has a shadow. Pain has a face. Allow me to show it to you. Gentlemen, I...am...PAIN."
Ooh, ooh, two more. "The Garden of Eden; a garden of flesh." The last one is near the end when this guy is trying to send Pinhead back to Hell, he screams, "Welcome to Oblivion!" Pinhead smiles and says, "Amen."
Gives me shivers just repeating it.
