Smoke Tsung Zero: A story of Heroics and Betrayal
* Prologue By: Jonathan Milne

DISCLAINER: None of the characters used are mine, they belong to Midway. I'm just using them for this story. By the way, Smoke Tsung Zero and Sub Zero (7th) and Scorpienne are made up.

NOTE: This story is NOT based on the movies, I've based them on the games.

PROLOGUE

"The story of Smoke Tsung Zero's life is that he was once a slave, a human named John Williamson who had been captured by Shang Tsung for the first (new) Mortal Kombat tournament. When Shang Tsung had been defeated by Liu Kang in the final of the tournament, John and other slaves seized the opportunity to escape. But just a few months later, he was captured again. But because of John's excellent punditry skills, Shao Kahn used John for analyzing warrior strengths and weaknesses in the second (new) Mortal Kombat tournament. When Kahn was defeated by Liu Kang, John managed to successfully escape. In MK 3, Kahn announced the people he was hunting so that they would be executed. John was one of them.
But John was smart enough to avoid capture and stayed alive. During his exile, he was trained up to be a warrior by Smoke, a former human warrior that had been automized by the Lin Kuei clan. Meanwhile, Kahn was defeated, again by Liu Kang.
Smoke left John (now named Smoke 2 because of now John was a good warrior now, almost good enough to compete in a tournament) after betraying the Lin Kuei by fighting Cyrax and Sektor alongside Sub Zero (6th) who had been marked for death by the Lin Kuei for refusing to take part in the automizations. Both Smoke and Sub Zero disappeared into the shadows until Smoke 2 saw Sub Zero (6th) re-emerge in the fourth (new) Mortal Kombat tournament. Smoke 2 was trained up to be even better than he was by Sub Zero (6th), until Sub Zero's death at the end of MK 6, and Sub Zero's hidden son Sub Zero (7th) took over.
Smoke Zero (as John was now known) won MK 8, a tournamnet hosted by Shang Tsung, who had found a sacred bracelet that could only be destroyed if put in a blistering hot chamber for 100 years, and then put in an ice cold chamber for another 1000 years. It had the ability to make all types of warriors: "Guard" warriors (warriors that guarded Outworld cities (in their 1000s) that were not army or tournament-class) that could be created with 1 volt from the bracelet for 10000 of them, "Military" warriors (warriors that were part of armies of Outworld but not tournament-class) that could be created with 5 volts for a big army, "MK" warriors (very good warriors that were tournament class (bit like someone in the class of Sonya or Jax)) that could be created with 10 volts for each one, "Serious" warriors (excellent warriors that usually stuck out in the Mortal Kombat tournaments (a.k.a. Sub Zero, Cage, Scorpion, etc) that could be created with 20 volts for ! each one, "Ultimate" warriors (the best warriors ever (a.k.a. Lui Kang, Shao Kahn, Shinnok, Kintaro, Motaro etc) that could be created with 50 volts for each one and "Monster" warriors (warriors which was a combination of all of the above) which could be created with 100 volts. Shang Tsung had used 5 volts for Guard warriors, 25 volts for Military warriors (meaning 5 big armies put together) had not bothered with MK and Serious warriors and had made 8 Ultimate warriors: Re-incarnations of the dead Goro, Shao Kahn, Kintaro, Motaro, Quan Chi and Shinnok, and evil robotized versions of myself and Liu Kang. This totalled 430 volts used, and Shang Tsung was planning to create 5 Monster warriors (which would make the total to be 930 volts used and then to complete the bracelet's limit of 1000 volts to be used he would 14 more big armies to complete the 5 he had already made. But Smoke Zero won his way to the final where he faced none other than Shang Tsung, the man who h! ad enslaved Smoke Zero during MK 1. S.Z. defeated Shang Tsung and then, after reminding Shang Tsung who he was, killed him.
However, S.Z. took Tsung's powers and this caused evilness to spread into him as he changed his name to Smoke Tsung Zero. After being invited by Kitana to rule Edenia (as it was now back to being known), which he accepted, S.T.Z. met Scorpienne, the sister of Scorpion. She said he wanted revenge on the Sub Zero family for Sub Zero (6th) allowing Scorpion back into hell and also for thier lies. She persuaded S.T.Z. to kill Sub Zero and the rest of the family and to imprison Kitana, who had pissed her off in her childhood. Because of the fact that evil had taken over him, S.T.Z. accepted and did both tasks. He then hosted the next 3 tournaments and killed Liu Kang, Jax and Sonya in the process. However, an unlikely hero surfaced, who came back from the shadows and defeated and killed Smoke Tsung Zero. His name? Smoke.
The best way to start this story properly however is to join John in the middle of MK 2, where the tri finals would be starting: 6 warriors, 3 matches. They were Jax vs Shao Kahn, myself vs Kintaro and, the biggest match ofthe tri finals: Liu Kang vs Shang Tsung."

These of the words of Rayden.
