This Unit Must Survive 3 - The Unit Returns	By: The Warrior
Exo awoke. His memories from the day he was first created were feeding back into him one by one. For reasons Exo couldn't quiet fathom he noticed that 79 memories would return to him every 0.5 seconds. Then Exo remembered that he had been damaged and killed. It then occurred to Exo that this must be why he was being repaired. He couldn't quiet remember exactly why he died, but he was sure it was Scorpion that killed him. He tried to stand but found his primary functions were still offline. "A good idea" , thought Exo as it occurred to him it might be hard to fix an android that was walking around. Exo shut himself down to let the repairs go on. Exo was reactivated. He realised he was now standing up and had been completely repaired. He looked round at his masters, Kung Lao and Lui Kang. "Exo?" Said Kung Lao, slowly "Master?" Said Exo "How are you?" Said Kung Lao, like a mother worrying about her sick child. Exo considered the question and ran a complete systems diagnostic. "All my systems appear to be functioning within acceptable parameters." "Excellent!" Said Lui "How much do you remember?" "....Everything" Exo responded. "May I ask why I was rebuilt?" "yes...Fujin arrived at the temple five days ago with some...unpleasant news. The Lin Keui are coming here under the orders of Shao Kahn." Said Kung Lao. "We must stop them!" Exo said, automatically heading for the door. No sooner had Exo arrived at the door, it was blown open. Sektor, Smoke, Sub-Zero and the rest of the Lin Keui clan were there. Cyrax was not, because he had been killed so Kung Lao and Lui Kang could use his technology to make Exo in the first place. Exo's eyes glowed green as they always did when he was preparing to fight. Sub-Zero froze Exo, but not enough to actually kill him but it was enough to disable all primary functions. Sektor and Smoke then picked up Exo and ran off with him. Exo's Primary Functions were re-enabling so, Sektor whilst running shut Exo down. Exo awoke. He was in a dark hideout, lit with candles and old braziers. He looked around intently. All systems were now back online. A Grand Master looked at him. "Exo, do you realise that you should not be with the Order of Light at all?" he said. "In fact, do you know that you are related to a loyal member of the Lin Keui and not remotely related to anyone in The Order Of Light?" Exo then said "Not true. As an android I have no biological relatives, however, Kung Lao and Lui Kang made me...in a sense, they are my parents" "And..." said the Grand Master "In another sense, Cyrax is your parent. He provided all the technology Kung Lao and Lui Kang needed to create you, they would not have made you without Cyrax. In fact, Cyrax died giving birth to you! Kung Lao and Lui Kang were more like doctors that delivered you, rather than parents." He looked at Exos clan which was on his clothes. A Yin Yang. "Must you wear a Yin Yang? Why not wear a Lin Keui clan? You are related to the Lin Keui after all." Exo considered this. "I will stay here and consider this, but I will still wear the Yin Yang as I have yet to actually join you" "Agreed" Three months past. Exo came to the grand master. "I will not join you." "You must!" said the grand master in anger "If you don't, the punishment is a very slow and painful death!" "Being with you would endanger the lives of me and countless innocents...I have been programmed to protect me and non-kombatents." Exo's eyes glowed brighter, and brighter green as he said this. "This Unit Must Survive!" Exo then charged plasma burst at the grand master, killing him but also summoning in about a hundred Lin Keui warriors. Exo turned around. He could not possibly defeat all those enemies or get past them. A energy barrier might be able to give him time to get past, as the enemies could not penetrate it, however a barrier that strong would almost complete Exo's reserve power and he would be defenceless...He'd have to try. Exo now produced a high level energy barrier, and his life was weakening and weakening by the second. He made a run for the door. He escaped into the forest, and there collapsed into a heap as he had almost ran out of the little reserve power he was running on. Fujin appeared out of no where. "This is not time for a nap Exo!" said Fujin, half serious half sarcastic. "This was not a 'nap'. Androids do not need sleep the way humans need it, I-" "Exo, I was kidding!" said Fujin cutting in. He was cut short when Lin Keui warriors came running up. "And I suppose you want ME to deal with them?!" Said Fujin sarcastically, looking at the nearly shut down Exo. Fujin caused a rather large gale force wind to occur, getting bigger and bigger and he put on a very loud, deep, God-Like voice. "YOU WILL RETURN TO YOUR MASTER AND YOU WILL TELL HIM YOU FAILED! YOU WILL NOT COME AFTER EXO OR THE ORDER OF LIGHT AGAIN LEST YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE!" The Lin Keui about turned and ran, leaving only Sub-Zero, Sektor and Smoke. "I'm not really wanting to fight anyone right now!" Said Fujin. He used his Godly powers to make Kung Lao and Lui Kang appear. "Deal with them" said Fujin carelessly Sub-Zero was defeated by Kung Lao after a mighty fight and a hat throw. Lui Kang tricked Smoke into using his homing missles on himself. Sektor was defeated when both Kung Lao and Lui Kang kicked the side of his head at the same time. They took Exo back to the Temple of The Order of Light and had him repaired and regenerated. Next day whilst Kung Lao was snoozing on a sofa Exo did something he had never done before. "Master, this is no time for a nap" "Wha'?" said Kung Lao sleepily "It was a joke master...I was making a sarcastic comment regarding your desire to sleep on the sofa" "Oh...right, a j--j---" Kung Lao yawned. "A joke...j..zzzzzzzzzzz" Exo said "I belive I need a nap too, Master" and with that he temporarly shut himself down.
