The Earth warriors had just met up again at the Temple of the Order of Light. Fugin: We acomplished nothing. We were ambushed and were forced to leave. But I see that you succeeded. Sub-Zero: It is always an honor to fight with you. Liu: Do you think we're ready for an invasion? Fugin: We are almost ready. We just need one more addition but I can't think what. (They all hear a screech and see a dragon attached to a rope appear. Scorpion's spear. He appears and Sub-Zero gets into his fighting stance ready to fight.) Scorpion: GET OVER HERE!!!! (His spear shoots back out and grips Sub and pulls him over to Scorpion. Scorpion pulls his mask off, getting ready to breathe fire, but then Fugin puts him in a whirl wind and tosses him. Scorpion is dazed and puts his mask back on.) Fugin: Scorpion, do not attack! I want to do some talking with you. I request you're assistance in the expected invasion of Earth. (Sub shoots a look at Fugin, but Fugin stares him down with his glowing white eyes.) Sonya: Fugin, hasn't Scorpion always fought for Outworld? Scorpion: Listen to me. I have requested life from the emperor and sorcerors many times, but my demand has never been met. I will fight for Earth only under one condition. If you Fugin, summon the Elder Gods, and give me life. Fugin: I will try, but I cannot make any guarantees. Scorpion: I must go now, but I will be there to fight once the invasion starts. (Scorpion vanishes.) Sub-Zero: I can't believe I'm fighting with him rather than against him. Kitana: There's a first time for everything. Fugin: Exactly. Now come, we must prepare for battle.
