Serving as an assassin along with Kitana, Mileenas dazzling appearance conceals her hideous intentions. At Shao Kahn's request she is asked to watch for Kitana's suspected dissension. She must put a stop to it at any cost. But she wasn't able to keep her sister, from who she was cloned from by Shang Tsung, to keep Kitana from joining the earth warriors in their quest against the outworld forces in the second new Mortal Kombat tournament. Trying to defeat Kitana and her friend Jade with her secret companion Baraka, Kitana kills her in fair battle. Her companion left her when he saw Kahn was loosing from the earth warriors.
Murdered by Kitana, she finds her soul is reborn in an evil place called the Netherealm. Here she accepts servitude to an all mighty god known as Shinnok. It is Shinnok who allows her soul to be reborn on the outworld. As for Shao Kahn her skills as a vicious fighter will be needed to defeat earth's chosen warriors during Shao Kahn's invasion. Her ability to read thoughts of her sister enables Kahn to stay one step ahead of them. But as the chosen warriors are able to defeat Kahn she must again leave her body and let her spirit leave to another place.
