Storyline:
For nine generations Mortal Kombat was ruled by outworld's finest warrior prins Goro. As the ruling Champion and prince of the subterrane race of Shokan, Goro is about to win his tenth Mortal Kombat in a row. And with ten victories in a row, Earth will be in the outworld shadow forever. The Mortal Kombat tournament is held on the Island Fortress of Shang Tsung, his master, as usual. But this time there were Mortals, who were not as easy to defeat as in the last 9 tournaments. Goro was thought to be killed and Shang Tsung was defeated. The eart was safe ... for now ... Goro mysteriously returns during Shinnok's war, the half human dragon who stood as Shang Tsung's personal protector in the first new tournament took the Mortal Kombat title from the original Kung Lao. But after nine ginerations of being the champion of Mortal Kombat, Liu Kang took the title from him. Now Goro returns to seek revenge on the earth warriors, and specially on the new Mortal Kombat champion Liu Kang. But when Shinnok is defeated and Edenia is free again, Goro and the Shokan race decide ally themselved with the new edenian ruler: Kitana. But after the Deadly Alliance was formed, tragedy struck when Goro was killed in battle and the Shokan army spiralled into leaderless chaos. But in a strange turn of events, Shao Kahn was slain by unknown assailants and Kano's troops began a hasty retreat. Kitana had won, but at a terrible cost to the Shokan people.
