| Storyline: |
A martial arts superstar trained by great masters from around the world. Cage uses his talents on the big screen. He is the current box-office champ and star of such movies as dragon fist and Dragon Fist II as well as the award winning Sudden Violence. Through the battles and life or death situations faced during the tournament Johnny Cage learns the true importance of his fighting skills. He also realizes the full potential of the tournament. Together with this knowledge he fights aside his chosen friends in the first new Mortal Kombat tournament. They fight with all their strength and defeat Shang Tsung. With this, earth is, for a while safe from the outworld emperor.
After Shang Tsung's defeat in the first Mortal Kombat tournament, the martial arts superstar disappears. He follows Liu Kang into the outworld. There he will compete in a twisted tournament, which holds the balance of earth's existence. Cage uses all his knowledge’s and experiences as a fighter to battle against the outworld menace. Together with his friends he defeats the emperor Shao Kahn in the second new Mortal Kombat tournament. And when he comes home he finally receives the respect he deserves.
Killed in a battle with an outworld extermination squad, Johnny Cage's life came to a tragic end. But the celluloid superstar managed to cheat death when the merger of earth and the outworld blocks his path to the after life. His soul takes possession of his body once again ,and enables Cage to rejoin his friends to battle for earth's survival during Shao Kahn's invasion. With his nearly deceased soul restored, Johnny Cage finds himself fighting along side his friends once again. This time he seeks revenge against the extermination squad that took his life. But during their battle, Cage learns that if they win against Kahn his soul will again be deceased when earth reverts back to normal. Knowing this the movie star embarks on a one way mission to help his friends defeat Shao Kahn. His determination fuels his fellow warriors as they embark on one final onslaught against the evil emperor. The earth warriors emerge victorious and when the realms revert to their normal state, Cage bids farewell to his friends as his soul leaves to a higher place.
After Shao Kahn's defeat Cage's soul was free to leave to a higher place. From the heavens he observes his friends engaged in battle. With the heavens in disarray, he learnes of the war waged against the elder gods, by Shinnok. Cage seeks out Raiden to help him restore his deceased soul and join Liu Kang in his quest during Shinnok's war. Once again Johnny Cage finds himself fighting alongside Earths greatest warriors. Cage was a good ally for the chosen warriors, and with his help they are able to defeat the earth warriors and finally Shinnok himself. After the tournament Cage finds himself alive and well again. And once again he uses the victory on the outworld for his commercial purposes, although that wasn't such a success.
Johnny Cage had been fed up with the lame writing on his current movie "Mortal Kombat: The Death of Johnny Cage," in which his character repeatedly died and was resurrected. To him, his real-life adventures were much more sensational - he kicked butt! But his studio felt that the hero needed to take a fall for dramatic purposes, Johnny Cage reluctantly agreed to continue with the project until the Thunder God Raiden called him away to a new adventure in Outworld when a Deadly Alliance was formed between Quan Chi and Shang Tsung. For maximum dramatic effect, Johnny Cage arrived on the island fortress of Shang Tsung by way of parachute. He glided to the exact place on the beach where Raiden had told him to rendezvous with the others. When night fell, the Earthrealm kombatants lit a fire and discussed possible strategies to defeat the Outworld threat. Once the fire had reached it's full strength, Raiden finally appeared and revealed to them the events that had led to the formation of the Deadly Alliance.
Upset by the way his adventures had been portrayed in the past, Johnny Cage found a loophole in his contract and left MCM studios during the production of "Mortal Kombat: The Death of Johnny Cage." He then used his own money to fund the production of his next movie, which is rumored to be the true story of his latest adventures in Outworld. "Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance" broke all records in its first weekend in theaters, and made Johnny Cage extremely wealthy. The movie told the true story of how Johnny Cage and the other Eart warriors single handedly saved the world from the threat of Quan Chi and Shang Tsung's deadly alliance. |

Karate: Karate is a named used for a group of martial arts developed on Okinawa, before the island was integrated into Japan. Historically, Okinawa enjoyed a great trade economy based on shipping, which exposed the locals to martial arts from many parts of Aisa, including Japan and China. Significant styles of karate include: Shotokan, Shorin-ryu and Goju-ryu. Karate was introduced to Japan in the early 20th century and later to the rest of the world, where it continues to include many other martial art forms.
Jeet Kune Do: Bruce Lee developed Jeet Kune Do in 1967. The literal meaning of Jeet Kune Do is "the way in the interceptin
fist." Wing Chun, Tai Chi Chuan, Hung Gar and Chin Na heavily influenced Jeet Kune Do among others.
Nunchaku: This weapon is most often associated with Okinawan Kobudo (weapons arts), but is also seen occasionally in Chinese, Philippine, Korean and Japanese arts. The nunchaku were originally a horse bit used for farming. During the 1500's the local government outlawed the ownership and use of weapons so locals turned to farm instruments to protect themselves. |
